After contemplating for 3 years, I finally manage to go to Notting Hill Carnival this year. A year ago I was away during the Carnival, the year before that, it rained heavily the whole day. Finally this year, weather and my availability perfectly tied up.
I was fascinated to capture the vibrance of colours and the faces. This carnival is the melting point of culture and people primarily from Carribean countries. Other countries to participate to celebrate the joy to bring in diverse community together. Carnival truly proves London to be the most cosmopolitan city in the world.
London’s biggest street party as the Notting Hill Carnival fills the streets of West London with Caribbean colours, music and flavour. Notting Hill Carnival takes place every year on the last weekend of August and the summer bank holiday (public holiday) Monday. Carnival officially starts on Saturday evening and finishes on Monday evening. Sunday is family friendly day and Monday is the grand finale. Monday is the day which gets a lot busier than Sunday.
Here is the collection of the photographs captured of great performers.
